Portfolio (P3)

Write up the answers to the four questions below as a short essay on
the subject of Orthographic Drawing to be included in your portfolio.

1.On Mrs T’s Isometric 3D drawing the front side is shown in a different place to Mrs Rall’s 3D drawing. What does Mrs Rall suggest as being a good way to indicate the front side in the three dimensional isometric drawing?

2.Mrs Rall explains the use of a 45 degree angled line projecting diagonally across the page from the right top edge of her ‘Front view’ drawing.
What is the purpose of this line?

3.Where should the Front View drawing be started on the page?

4.What advice does Mrs Rall give regarding label lines and measurements on orthographic drawings? Should mm’s or cm’s be written on the lines? Should measurements ‘cut into the lines’ in a small gap (see figure 5 on Orthographic Projection (O2) page.)
Is the drawing in figure 5 labelled incorrectly? How could it have been done better?
